Toothless

(Sorry its blotchy and sideways! The video was taken by Brandon's cell phone.)

Audrey doesn't miss her snaggle tooth that always made it hard to chew and she looks SO cute with her toothless grin.

The sad part is that even after all this excitement the tooth fairy forgot to visit during the night (again).

Space Play

Audrey's class just finished studying space. Each student researched a planet. (Audrey's was Uranus.) With that information, they made a power point presentation and wrote lines to a play which they performed in space suits. They also presented their homemade robots, a huge cardboard rocket that they made as a team, researched constellations, and shared their homemade shadow boxes showing their constellation with written reports. (Audrey 's was Pegasus.) They created their own unique solar system and decided what attributes each planet would have and wrote reports and made water color tantagrams illustrating it. The class made a large planetarium with their constellations punched into the ceiling of a ground cover. You could go into the large (30 feet by 20 feet) black plastic bag filled with flowing air to view the constellations with a flashlight. Its hard to describe! But, it was super cool! They also sang several songs and served yummy treats (Milky way bars, starbursts, moon pies, etc). It was an amazing night! They also got to go on a field trip to the space exhibit at OMSI and watch a planetarium show called "Adventures in a Cardboard Rocket." Audrey's teacher should win an award for creativity and enthusiasm.

A Week in the Life of Audrey

This week my mom is going to follow Audrey around with the camera and portrait what her life is like right now. She's growing and changing so fast. I want to save these memories and share her experiences with our family and friends that live so far away. Bruce and I will be coming up next!

Audrey's Favorite Foods

Audrey's favorite foods include: corn tortillas with melted cheese, popsicles, cinnamon sugar toast, apples (unless she has a loose tooth), Cheerios, hash browns, lollipops, and cantaloupe.

Audrey's favorite dinner is BBQ Chicken Soup, which is a recipe I made up one Sunday when there wasn't a whole lot to eat in the house. I just started throwing stuff in a crock pot with the hope it would be edible when we got home from church. It was actually yummy and is Audrey's favorite dinner. Here is the recipe:

1 28 oz can of Bush's Baked Beans
1 14.5 oz can of stewed tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1 32 oz oz of chicken broth
3-4 frozen chicken breasts
8 oz (which is 1/2 bag) frozen sweet corn
BBQ sauce to taste (We like about 1/2 cup)

I puree the stewed tomatoes and onion in the blender to make the onion chunks too small to pick out. :) Then I put everything except for the corn & BBQ sauce in the crock pot on high for 2-3 hours. Then I shred the cooked chicken and put it back into the soup and add the corn and BBQ sauce. We serve the soup with mashed potatoes and corn bread. Enjoy!!

Audrey The Gymnast

Audrey climbing to the top of the rope to ring the bell.

Audrey loves doing a handstand. She does them all the time at home too!

Audrey's coach is Amber. Her favorite friend at gymnastics is Averie Sievers.

Audrey loves her gymnastics class on Monday and Wednesday. She does the bars, beam, tumbling, trampoline, and a lot of conditioning. It's a good fit with her flexible, strong, & little body and her daring and spunky personality. After class Brandon always asks her "Did you win?" Her answer is always "YES!"
