Nutcracker

After countless rehearsals, practically living at my dance studio after school and on weekends and then having the craziest, and busiest week of the year (for me); Nutcracker is over!! All four shows went great!! :) I was in the snow, waltz and licorice dances...did I mention this was also the week that my parents were in Hawaii? -We are going to buy the DVD of the filmed show so they can see it. It was so fun and really reminded me of why I love dancing so much! Can't wait till the next show;)

Hawaii

For a present to my Dad for this birthday he got tickets to go see the BYU football game in Oahu, Hawaii!! My mom got to go with him and Bruce, Audrey and me were left home, taken care of by some family friends....Even though my dad had to work for part of the time, they had an awesome time as they got to enjoy the warm weather and hang out with another couple that went with them:) Can't wait to go as a family next year!!

Happy 40th Birthday Dad

What would we do with this big guy in our family? My dad is the best dad in the world (that he so often reminds us of...haha)!! We want to thank him for all of the many things that he does for out family:) Love you SO MUCH DAD!! Hope you have another great year, go cougs!! ;)

Thanksgiving, Pirates and Just dance

This year, instead of having thanksgiving we put a little twist on it and had it with some family friends! We cooked all day and shared TONS of delicious food! I think there was enough food there for at least two more families;) After a filling meal we all went into the man cave and watched Pirates of the Caribbean #4 which was really cool!! But, we had to stop halfway so that we could enjoy the 6 pies/desserts that we got to try one of which was a homemade pumpkin cheesecake which was delicious!! Then we played Just Dance 1,2,3 and summer party which was super fun and very funny to watch the parents get into haha:) We finished up the night with some fun board games.

the story of whats wrong with me...

So, a few weeks ago I went to the chiropractor because I had been having a lot of pain bothering me in my lower back and my ankle. She didn't do much but she did have me get x-rays taken of my back because she thought that one leg was shorter than the other....and she was right!! I have one leg (my left) that's shorter, not by much but enough to cause some problems. Especially with me being a dancer...anyways so she didn't really do much except help me find out whats wrong with me. So i went to another chiropractor. Who helped me out a lot more!! It turns out that to supplement the difference in my legs my muscles were tightening up also to stop the hyper mobility in my hips which has been causing my hips to dislocate a lot..so I had a lot of knots in my back that they had to take out and then they adjusted me and gave me a heel lift! -I've now have to go every couple weeks or so and they get all the knew knots out of my back and I've gradually been going up in heel lift size until I get to the size that will supplement for the difference of my leg size difference (which is less than a cm). Oh, also all this has caused me to have an 8Th degree of scoliosis...I know it all sounds really bad, and its not! Just enough to cause some problems and drive me up the walls...just hope I can get through this and continue reaching my dreams as a dancer;)

Soccer

Bruce with his coaches
GO BRUCE!!

Audrey and her soccer friends

Audrey, her friends and her coach

This year Bruce and Audrey have been doing soccer as an after school activity/sport. Bruce has done a few years of soccer before, and this year he was on a new team called the 'Hornets'. With practices twice a week and games usually on Fridays and/or Saturdays he continued to improve at his favorite outdoor sport-soccer. This year was Audrey's first year doing soccer and she liked it a lot! She turned out to be a natural at it and fit in with her team mates very well. Audrey is now done with soccer, for the year. And Bruce will be done soon. They are both hoping to do soccer again in the fall.

Halloween

I was Thing 1 with my friend who was Thing 2

and yes i did wear crazy fake eye lashed;)
Bruce was Axel Rose from the band Guns and Roses

Audrey was Princess Jasmine

This year for Halloween we(all us kids) all went with lots of friends; Bruce had a couple friends and so did Audrey and they started out at our Churches 'Trunk-or-Treat' while my three friends and me started going around the neighborhood. Eventually we all met up and continued trick-or-treating, and then ended the night by going through the neighborhood haunted house! ...It was very fun and spooky Halloween:)

Blue Man Group

We (my parents, Bruce and I -Audrey was at a party and didn't want to go...) went to the show Blue Man Group at the Keller Auditorium!! It was VERY COOL!! -almost like a concert...For those of you who don't know what Blue Man Group is, its a show were they play lots of cool music with different instruments and do lots of interactive things with the audience -like picking a random guy from the audience and having him put on a suit, hang him upside down, cover him in paint, and swing him into a white canvas so that his imprint is on the canvas, let him down and then let him take the canvas home! they also played fun music and everyone stood up and kind of danced and passed these giant, color changing balls around! It was VERY COOL, and VERY FUN to go to! :)

General Conferance

This year was an...interesting General Conference...Just because it was the first General Conference that we didn't watch it all together, as a family. -because my parents had not come home yet after leaving for my moms race and Bruce, Audrey and Me were all staying with different friends...So I watched it at our house and my friend, her brother and mom and me all watched it. It was cool to show my friend and her family, who are not Mormon some thing that is one of those things I take for granted but they had never seen and thought was really cool....I always love General Conference and the messages they share with us! I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and hope it will continue to touch the hearts of many all over they world like it did with my friend and her family on that Sunday afternoon;)
