christmas 2009

This year we had a heck of a Christmas! We had our Christmas eve which consisted of 1 present opening, PJ's and a new board game (gesture). Which we played a few times then we had our Christmas devotional on how we are celebrating Christ's birth not Santa clause and the presents. Then Christmas morning we opened our stockings and presents! Then I left for my dad's brother's house to stay while my parents went on there cruise to Mexico with my mom's family! My dad drove Bruce and Audrey up to my dad's sister's house the day after Christmas to stay while they were on the cruise. Then they left on Sunday for the cruise! Pictures are coming!

Lego Maniac

A couple of Bruce's favorite activities are listening to audio books and building with Lego's. His favorite series books are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Peter and the Star Catchers. The ships he makes are amazing. His creations come from his own imagination and always have parts that have various functions based on how the ship might need to move or counter an attack. He starts over with a new design every couple of days. He told us that someday he might want to work for the Lego company as a designer. Cool!

Do you believe in Santa?

We carpool with a darling young girl that is Jewish. Audrey and Sara were discussing the different Christmas and Hanuka traditions as we drove home from school last week. It was fun listening to their conversation. Toward the end of the conversation I heard Audrey say, "Well, in our religion we believe in Santa. Do you?" LOL

Maui December 2009

My Mom and Dad took a trip to Maui! The weather was sunny and warm - 80 degrees, must feel great in December! Dad had to work during the day, but they enjoyed morning snorkeling and saw whales, tropical fish, manta rays, and sea turtles! They also soaked in the sunsets as they walked down the beach in the evenings!

MaMa's Fish House North Shore, Maui - Mom's favorite restaurant!

Out side the restaurant

Ulua Beach in Wailea, Maui - A great place to snorkel and lay in the sun ! There condo was by this beach.

Dad will be traveling back and forth to Maui quite a bit in the upcoming couple of years. Anyone want to come along?

Nutcracker!

This year I performed in my 5th Nutcracker! I performed with Northwest Classical Ballet at Prairie High School on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December! I was a Doll and a Palace Maiden. This was the first year I got to dance in my point shoes-on stage (in the doll dance)! I also had a lot of fun with the costumes and make-up!

The Doll dance, I am the taller doll and the one that jumps out of the box second!

The Palace Maiden Dance, I am the dancer closest to the stage on your right!

Christmas Tree!

We decided ave our tree wrapped in string so we could more easily cary it and so it would better stay on the car!

That is the saw that my mom first tried to cut down our Christmas tree with!

They had lots of Christmas decorations!

We were able to go cut down a Christmas tree literally! My mom started to cut it down with one of those hand saws, which went pretty slow. So, we got a chain saw and then cut it down. We got to pick a Christmas tree out of 80 acres!

Thanksgiving!

We got to make styrofoam turkeys as our thanksgiving craft!

We were able to have my dads brother-Uncle J and his sister- Aunt Kelly's family's were both able to come to our house for thanksgiving and my dads birthday! We had lots of fun and ate lots of great food!

Happy Birthday Dad!

For my dad's b-day he got a C.D of the music from the Fiddler on the Roof so they decided to dance!

Present Time!

Yum!

That looks good Cade!
